The ‘Gateway’ to Relaxation – MassageLuXe!
The morning was clear and I completely ignored the weatherman who claimed that we were looking at ninety degree heat for the St. Louis area. Nope. It truly didn’t matter. Our family road trip was being imprinted into the family history book. All of the amazing memories that my daughter, my big furry dog, Reuben and I were making together were thrilling.
Now, however, we were taking a breather from the open road and making sure that the next few days that we spent in Missouri would be all about relaxing and enjoying life. Oh, and yes, finding that next MassageLuXe that would offer us sheer and utter paradise.
Being the super-sleuth I am with my technological savvy (LOL. Trust me, when people start talking about the internet I blank out completely so my knowledge of technology pretty much stops at turning the machine on). But…anyway, with my technological savvy and my teenager’s help, I logged on to one of the computers at the hotel and was soon seeing the incredible MassageLuXe homepage.
Seeing as that I was gearing up to head home eventually and beg my friends – a husband and wife who were searching for just the right franchise opportunity – to open a MassageLuXe immediately, I wanted to get as much information as I could about the amazing company. I was beyond thrilled to see the videos and learn all about the incredible franchise system that they encompass. From the ‘incentives’ that MassageLuXe gives to their staff, to the incredible services and products that they always have so that their clients know they are receiving Beverly Hills luxury without having to spend ‘90210’ prices – MassageLuXe grew from just a perfect vacation spot in my mind to an absolute ‘A-one’ business opportunity.
As we left the hotel to learn more about the St. Louis area that we were in, I was still filled with the incredible history of MassageLuXe and really couldn’t wait to stop in to the next one on our list so I could learn even more. (Okay, well, I might have wanted to stop at the next MassageLuXe for the absolute relaxation and enjoyment, too.)
Heading toward the Rock Hill area, Shelby and I read all the brochures we could get our hands on. It was incredible to learn that St. Louis was actually a center of Native American culture and that these historical people were the ones who built numerous temples and residential mounds in the region that gave the city its nickname of the “Mound City.”
But as we drove around the grassy fields in the Sugar Creek area, Shelby and I were absolutely amazed by the beauty of the Frank Lloyd Wright House that was close by in Ebsworth Park. Shelby was awestruck when she and I took a tour of this residence that was yet another of Wright’s truly amazing houses – one of only five in Missouri. Walking through that architectural marvel it was enchanting to see that all the Wright-designed furnishings and fabrics were still there.
What was Shelby’s favorite spot? Just a few short miles out of Rock Hill, we discovered the Mineral Springs Paranormal Research Center where my little ‘X-Files’ enthusiast found herself having a ball with the ghost hunts. Hmmm….‘X-Files?’ Yup, I am now officially done with the sightseeing amusements and just visualizing that huge ‘X’ that would herald the next MassageLuXe that was just waiting for us to arrive.
As we said goodbye to the ghosts, and spoke about the power of the “Wright” legacy on the way back, Shelby and I quickly read our map and headed to Manchester Road. From the reception area with the crisp, clean lines of the trademark MassageLuXe décor, this next franchise was as absolutely perfect as the first two we’d visited. The chairs were luxurious, the air conditioning was blissful and Shelby and I were already breathing deeply and feeling the veil of utter calmness come over us. (Truly, is there a BETTER way to end a day of sightseeing? If there is I can’t think of it!)
As we once again looked through all the services available, Shelby and I stared at the Hot Stone Massage Therapy and shared a smile. Not because having a skilled massage from the ‘Luxe’ staff where heated, smooth stones are placed on certain points on the body to warm and loosen tight muscles, would be bad. No, just a smile that said now that we were cool, we had no interest in experiencing heat of any kind.
I chose the Deep Tissue Massage instead, which was absolute heaven by the way. This is actually a massage that targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It is very helpful for painful muscles (yup, got those), repetitive strain (Oh, yeah, have that), and postural problems (I am actually beginning to see a bend in my back from all the driving). Shelby went back for the Aromatherapy Massage that she had absolutely fallen in love with.
And, yes, I DID use my technological savvy. Instead of just enjoying everything and making it all about me (cough) I did actually ask the incredibly talented staff member all about the MassageLuXe system that seems to provide so much to their employees.
She was more than excited to talk about it (of course, I bugged her until she probably wished I had chosen the Hot Stone Massage so she could shove one of them into my mouth to shut me up). But, as always, the MassageLuXe lady was as pleasant as they come and told me about the amazing benefits that are given to the staff. I tried to memorize it all as we spoke about the rapid advancement opportunities, the ‘performance rewards’ including commissions and bonuses, the employee massage and facial rates, and – the big one – the fact that for every year a staff member is part of the MassageLuXe organization, they receive a $5000 credit towards the franchising fee for opening their very own MassageLuXe.
I couldn’t wait to tell my friends back home all about this. I wanted them to know of all the amazing benefits and wonders that this particular company had to offer.
Yeah, yeah, I know what you’re thinking. But I do want them to succeed in the franchising realm which is why I believe MassageLuXe is the franchise they should open in our area. After all, the health and massage arena is one of the largest industry’s out there at the moment. And…if they just so happen to want to give me MassageLuXe gift cards for my birthday, Christmas, New Years, July 4th, Secretary’s Day – you know? Any of those important holidays – so be it.
Now it’s back to the hotel and then on to the next MassageLuXe experience. Well, we’ll see the rest of the beautiful St. Louis too…of course.
